"This is my 1973(round tail light) 2002 which, since having some remedial work done, has been in regular use, at times daily, for the past 2 years. It has the after market, rare double headlight grill and Webasto sun roof, which is a joy to use making the car feel like a rag top.
It has extensive history including documented restoration work of body and engine in the late 90's. Everything was put to rights, including a reconditioned head and reconditioning the heater. This is the first 2002 I've know in which the heater really works. Later engine work included new shell bearings.
When I bought the car four years ago, the body work needed attention which I had done professionally and then resprayed in its original gold. The body work is essentially sound and the whole car has been regularly waxoyled.
The car drives very well, willing engine, tight suspension and the brakes are in good order. No rattles or vibration and well able to deal with modern driving conditions. There is some noise from the clutch thrust bearing but I don't think it is much to worry about.
I'm selling it as I now have two 2002tii cars and don't need it any more."
