Restoration > 1970 Morris Minor
A lovely 1970 Morris Minor gets ready for a full restoration. My late granddad bought one of these new in the 1960's, I will be using his original workshop manual to help with the restoration.
Subject to an extensive restoration many years ago, I'd bet the paint looked fantastic once. Unfortunately it was left out in the rain for a few years and the body paid the price.
The interior is in very nice condition and just requires a good clean.
I didn't try the engine considering the length of time the car had been unused but on the plus side, it's mostly original and all there. Very handy to get the correct colour paints for the various engine parts.
Disassembly begins with the rear passenger side wing. No too bad, some surface rust and filler towards the rear.
On a car that is nearly 40 years old, the original floor is intact and will not require any repair. I am shocked, to say the least!
Back to reality around the drivers side inner wing and door hinge pillar. The worst area on the car but all the panels are available.
Some panels arrive from england
